In his famous speech at Stanford University, Steve Jobs said a sentence that goes far beyond entrepreneurship and success. It describes a principle that everyone who wants to consciously change their reality should understand:
„You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards.“
Translated, this means: You cannot see the dots when you look ahead. Only in retrospect do you understand why everything had to happen exactly the way it did.
This is precisely one of the biggest errors in thinking that people make when they begin to work consciously with the Law of Attraction.
As soon as the wish is set, the mind takes command and tries to figure out how this goal is supposed to be achieved at all. It develops strategies, looks for possibilities, analyzes every single situation, and wants to know what steps are necessary next.
What is overlooked in this process is a simple fact: the moment you concern yourself with the path, you are already leaving the state of consciousness of the fulfilled wish.
Your mind can only work with what it already knows. It draws on experiences from your past, compares them with your current situation, and tries to construct the most logical future possible from them.
This is exactly why the solutions your head develops often seem limited. It only knows what is already in your previous reality. Everything that lies outside these experiences, it can neither calculate nor foresee.
If you already knew today how your wish would be fulfilled, then that path would have long been a part of your reality. But that is exactly not the case. Between your current life and your fulfilled wish lie countless possibilities, encounters, and events that your mind cannot possibly foresee.
Perhaps a "chance" conversation will lead to a decisive opportunity. Perhaps someone cancels an appointment on short notice, and precisely because of that, an encounter occurs that changes your life. Perhaps out of a situation that you feel is a setback today, the very opportunity you have been waiting for develops a few weeks later.
If you were to try to plan all these events in advance, you would have to know the future. Nobody can do that.
At the time, Steve Jobs did not know that a calligraphy class would inspire him years later to develop the first computer typography for the Macintosh. He could not have known that his dismissal from Apple would become the prerequisite for returning later, more successfully than before.
Only in retrospect did all the individual stages of his life form a complete picture. While he was experiencing them, they were merely individual dots with no recognizable connection.
It is the same with your wish.
You cannot connect the dots today because they do not even exist yet. They only emerge gradually as your life unfolds. Only when you have already reached your goal will you recognize why certain doors were closed, why other people suddenly entered your life, or why apparent detours were actually necessary intermediate steps. In hindsight, everything seems logical. While you are on the path, however, many things seem random or even contradictory.
That is exactly why you should stop investing your energy in the "how." Every thought about how your wish could become reality springs from the feeling that your goal has not yet been achieved. You are looking for solutions because you believe that you are still missing something. And when you do that, you are no longer in the state of the already fulfilled wish, but in the state of lack, and will therefore manifest lack.
Your only task, however, is to feel and hold the state of feeling of the already fulfilled wish. As soon as you internally become the person who feels their wish and is already living it, the external reality begins to adapt to this new state. This happens with a time delay, and I strongly advise you not to observe the outside world during this time.
No matter what you are currently being shown on the outside, it is without exception only old stuff. These are things that are still manifesting based on your old vibrations and states of consciousness. It takes a little while for that to stop.
If, however, you remain in the state of the already fulfilled wish during this phase and do not let the current outside world distract you from it, decisions, encounters, and possibilities will arise that you could not have planned or foreseen beforehand.
You will suddenly feel impulses that feel completely natural. People will appear whom you never would have thought of. Opportunities will arise at exactly the right moment, without you having forced them. Looking back, you will realize that every single dot was exactly where it needed to be.
This is exactly where most manifestations fail, and many of my clients fall back into old behavioral patterns and then leave the state of the already fulfilled wish.
They may visualize their wish and hold the feeling of the already fulfilled goal for a brief moment. But then the mind takes over again. The outside world is observed, one begins to calculate, to plan, and to rule out possibilities. Evidence is sought, one constantly checks external circumstances and tries to find out if anything is happening at all.
This creates a constant fluctuation between trust and doubt. For a short time, you are in the state of consciousness of the fulfilled wish, shortly thereafter back in the state of searching. Targeted manifesting does not work like that.
Realize that your task is never to find the path. Your only task is to assume the state of consciousness of the already fulfilled wish and to maintain it regardless of external circumstances.
As soon as your mind begins to search for solutions again or wants to calculate the future, recognize this thought for what it is: the attempt to gain control over something that is beyond your control.
Trust that your subconscious knows significantly more possibilities than your mind could ever grasp. You do not need to know which person you will meet, which opportunity will arise, or which events will connect with each other. Just as Steve Jobs could only recognize the dots of his life in retrospect, you too will only fully understand the path once your wish has long since become reality.
Therefore, never focus your attention on the path, but exclusively on your state of consciousness; hold it, even if things should become stormy around you on the outside.
The path is not your task. It emerges as a natural consequence of your state of consciousness, and it is beyond your control.
