Why you always attract the same type of partner

Do you know the feeling, sometime after a breakup, of realizing that your relationships always develop in the same way?

At first, everything seems perfect. You believe you have finally found the right person. But after a while, the same problems surface again. Perhaps you keep getting involved with emotionally unavailable people. Maybe you attract partners who control you, manipulate you, or constantly keep their distance. Or you keep experiencing the same disappointment: You give everything—and in the end, you are left behind.

At some point, almost everyone affected asks themselves the same question:

Why does this keep happening to me?

Many people believe they have simply been unlucky. But when certain relationship patterns repeat themselves over years, there is often something else behind it.

Your choice of partner begins long before you meet

Most people believe they choose their partner consciously. In reality, however, this decision is influenced to a large extent by unconscious patterns.

Your subconscious has been storing countless experiences, beliefs, and emotional imprints since your childhood. From this, your Paradigm is formed—that is, the sum of your deeply anchored patterns of thought, feeling, and behavior.

This paradigm influences not only how you perceive yourself, but also which people you find attractive.

That is why some people feel immediately familiar to you, even though you have only known them for a few minutes. This feeling often has less to do with love or soulmate connections than with the unconscious recognition of old emotional patterns.

Familiar does not automatically mean healthy

A common misconception is to confuse familiarity with security.

If, for example, you learned in your past that you have to fight for attention, this exact pattern can repeat itself later in your relationships. People who are emotionally distant then unconsciously seem especially interesting.

Not because they are good for you.

But because your subconscious is already familiar with this feeling.

This also explains why healthy, appreciative people can initially even seem boring to some affected individuals. They do not fit the established inner patterns.

Your self-image also plays a role

Another decisive factor is your self-image.

What do you think about yourself?

Do you feel worthy of love?

Do you believe you deserve a fulfilling relationship?

Or is there a deep-seated fear that you are not good enough?

Such beliefs often act unnoticed in the background. They influence your presence, your decisions, and even the signals you respond to most strongly.

That is why every change does not begin with the other person, but always with yourself.

The Law of Attraction begins in consciousness

In the context of the Law of Attraction, it is often said that like attracts like.

However, this is not about the universe randomly bringing people together. What is decisive is your inner state of consciousness.

As long as you unconsciously perceive yourself as vulnerable, dependent, or not sufficiently valuable, you project that exact state. As a result, the same relationship patterns are often reinforced again and again.

This does not mean that you are to blame for bad experiences.

It does mean, however, that your inner state has a significant influence on which dynamics continue to unfold in your life.

And that is precisely where your greatest opportunity lies.

You do not have to learn to change other people

Many people invest countless hours in analysis after a breakup.

Why did the other person behave that way?

Were they narcissistic? Am I the actual narcissist?

Why did he/she suddenly lose interest?

While these questions can help to understand certain contexts, they rarely change the root cause.

The more crucial question is:

Which state of consciousness within me keeps leading to the same experiences?

Only when this state changes will your choice of partner change in the long term.

You can change your paradigm

The good news is:

No paradigm is set in stone forever.

The subconscious, the seat of the paradigm, can adopt new beliefs. Your self-image can change. Old emotional patterns can gradually be replaced by new ones.

The more frequently you learn to experience yourself internally as loved, secure, and valuable, the more your entire state of consciousness changes.

As a result, it is often not only your thoughts that change, but also your decisions, your presence, and the people who enter your life.

You do not always attract the same type of partner – but the same state of consciousness

Many people believe they are just unlucky in love.

In reality, what is often repeated is not the partner, but the inner pattern.

As long as your paradigm remains unchanged, it will continue to create similar experiences—even if the people involved look different or have a different character.

Only when you change your self-image and your state of consciousness sustainably can your outer relationship experience change as well.

This is exactly where my work comes in. Together, we look not only at past relationships but at the unconscious programs that kept bringing them about. Because when your inner state changes, the possibility arises to have new experiences in love permanently.
